The Yamaha MotoGP team was relieved that the challenging Aragon Grand Prix weekend was finally over.
Despite struggling during Friday, Fabio Quartararo’s strong qualifying effort saw him start from ninth on the grid but the sprint race was uncompetitive for him, finishing 11th on Saturday.
Quartararo predicted a finish between seventh and 10th for Sunday’s main race but unfortunately crashed out of the points due to rear chatter and lack of grip.
The reigning MotoGP champion acknowledged that it was a forgettable weekend for Yamaha due to electronics issues, lack of grip, and front locking.
Although there was improvement in the electronic set-up on his bike, Quartararo insisted that it was not the root cause of their struggles in the main Sunday race.
